It’s going to be hard for this years mushroom season to top that of 2019’s. It was a year for many new discoveries.
Each trip I took into stanmer park woods presented me with an ever-morphing mushroom wonderland. I was discovering species I'd never seen before such as the Yellow stagshorn (Calocera viscosa) or the appropriately named stinkhorn (Phallus impudicus), as well as old friends like the puffballs (Lycoperdon perlatum) and turkey tails (Trametes versicolor).
